Overview Manages, recruits and onboards the sterile processing team leaders and technicians in their technical duties in decontamination, high-level disinfection (HLD), sterilization, and reprocessing of instrumentation used in patient care throughout the organization. Monitors and evaluates the quality of processes ensuring their alignment with current industry and regulatory standards, using evidenced based practice, manufacturer instructions for use (IFU), and hospital-specific procedures and guidelines. Monitors and evaluates staff productivity, errors, and contribution to positive team culture. Utilizes the electronic instrument tracking system to ensure department output is in line with organizational strategic goals, reviewing metrics with all staff. Supervises and collaborates with the department leadership and education coordinator to promote quality onboarding of new team members, and ongoing educational opportunities. Establishes and maintains professional multidisciplinary relationships with department customers throughout the enterprise.
