Job Purpose Direct and coordinate the administrative duties of a major functional area. Work involves the direct supervision of a medium to large group of employees including other administrative personnel or supervisory subordinates. Responsible for initiating, developing and maintaining or implementing policies, programs and procedures generally in a Winston Salem, NC engine subcomponents and Caterpillar off highway parts manufacturing. Work involves a great deal of creativity, perception and initiative and decisions are made where clearly established policies or procedures are not fully developed. Provides counsel in policy interpretation and/or application and is a recognized authority in matters related to policies under the jurisdiction of the activity.
