About The Position
The Breast Health Nurse Manager is responsible for managing the overall clinical functions, programs, and activities of the Comprehensive Breast Health program. Other responsibilities include: management of system and departmental policies and procedures and clinical competency trainings; serving as clinical subject matter expert and resource/support to staff; lead special projects with a clinical focus; deliver community health and wellness presentations in the community; act as liaison to related clinical areas within the system including the department Medical Director. It is expected that the Breast Health Nurse Manager is licensed, and knowledgeable and upholds the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association. It is expected that the individual upholds the voice of the patient, system policies and procedures while supporting service excellence goals in community-based settings throughout Wellstar Health System.
