Location: MO – SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital, Wentzville We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of two years BH RN experience and demonstrated progressive leadership skills to lead a 31-bed dedicated Adolescent Acute Behavioral Health Unit, serving patients ages 13–17 with acute behavioral health needs. This multidisciplinary unit includes a 24/7 on-site dedicated house supervisor and a team of approximately 45 clinical employees. This is a salaried leadership position with primary responsibility for operational oversight, staff development, and ensuring high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment. Schedule & On-Call General Hours: Monday–Friday, day shift Flexibility: Adjust as needed to support operational requirements On-Call Rotation: Managers participate approximately every 4 weeks for escalation support

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Two years' registered nurse experience, with demonstrated progressive leadership responsibility OR one year of registered nurse experience plus one year of leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within unit.
  • Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff.
  • Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s).
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in a unit.
  • Monitors and adheres to budget.
  • Approves or monitors expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
