Requirements

  • Graduate of a 2-4 year AMA approved Respiratory Therapy program
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required, Masters Preferred
  • Respiratory Therapist Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner from the State of Ohio
  • Minimum Work Experience 10 years of clinical experience in the Respiratory field
  • 5 years minimum experience in supervision (KHN preferred)
  • RRT Credentials issued by the National Board of Respiratory Care
  • Current BLS with ACLS, PALS, NRP for respective work area
  • Active AARC membership required
  • Strong supervision, personnel, leadership, and educational skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Possesses good clinical and technical knowledge of Respiratory Care
  • Strong computer and EMR understanding

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the operational management of Respiratory Care, including supply inventory, expense budgets, productivity, education, licensure, and all daily operations.
  • Responsible for Kettering Respiratory Department, NICU Respiratory, Troy Respiratory Care and Middletown ED Respiratory Care.
  • QAPI report twice a year. Doctor Shah to present NICU.
  • Oversee staffing, budget.
  • Monthly Cardiopulmonary division meeting.
  • Monthly leadership meeting
  • Meet with HR partner monthly
  • Respiratory Network Advisory Council monthly
  • Respiratory Advisory Council at KCMA and Sinclair Community College
  • Oversight of scheduling
  • Productivity
  • Budget
  • Purchasing equipment and supplies
  • Oversee purchase of gasses for facilities
  • Time and attendance
  • Policy/procedure manual updated every three years but check yearly.
  • Meet with Medical Director regularly
  • Interview and hiring of new staff
  • Staff meetings- 4 per year
