Keep reading: The Role Prefer candidates with adept experience in interfacing with NAVSEA/NSWC/NUWC Division Technical representatives to facilitate integration alignment with Division/Corporate strategies. Candidate will support advanced technology concepts that facilitate enhanced shipbuilding practices/methodologies for new/in-service Navy mission assets. Advanced level of understanding in a specialized field and/or general understanding of several diverse technical and support disciplines. position entails a broad grasp of intricate technical shipbuilding concepts, practices, and procedures. Clear ability to lead and manage R&D projects that support the development of innovative technologies and solutions for shipbuilding and the augmentation of advanced Navy ship asset mission capabilities. Frequent contact with equivalentlevel managers and customer representatives concerning technical innovation ideas/projects and the implementation thereof regarding requirements modifications and/or contractual clarifications. Conducts briefings and technical meetings for internal Division/Corporate leadership and externaltechnical/Program representatives as required. Candidate must be capable of utilizing their background and expertise to develop and/or lead ongoing technical projects or internal/external advanced concept opportunities that emerge for the organization. These areas would include M&PE and/or IRAD (Division/Corporate) projects, Requests for Proposals(RFPs), and/or Requests for Information (RFI). The Management responsibilities within the Research, Development, and Process Technology organization will include setting & managing to quality objectives & providing guidance to subordinates based on established company goals, objectives, and policy. The Manager will also collaborate on the Program Management responsibilities of the projects that they specifically support. For those projects, they will be responsible for coordinating the planning and project performance regarding cost, schedule, technical quality, and risk management for the related Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements of a large system development-type or technical services-type contract.
