About The Position

To Plan, Organize And Control The Input, Movement, Process/Sort, And Output Of Various Functions Of Sort Operations In Premium Markets To Ensure A High Level Of Service And On-Time Launch At A Minimal Cost. In Addition, Directs All Other Necessary Activities Which Provide Optimum Service To Fedex Customers.

Requirements

Two (2) Years College/Equivalent.
Five (5) Years Business Experience, Including Eighteen (18) Months Experience As A Sort Operations Manager.
Ability to Lift 75 Lbs.
Ability To Maneuver Packages Of Any Weight Above 75 Lbs. With Appropriate Equipment And / Or Assistance Form Another Person.
Must Currently Be A Member Of Fedex Management.
Dangerous Goods; Ability To Successfully Complete Dg Specialist Training And To Interpret Legal Documentation Regarding Hazardous Shipments.
Strong Basic Management, Human Relations And Communication Skills.
High School diploma/GED.
One year experience in FedEx supervisory/lead roles, ex. Ramp agent/Ops Lead/Team Lead OR
Two years management experience (for external candidates) OR
Completion of a certified internal leadership development program, including AiM. OR
Bachelor's degree OR
Twelve months general FedEx operations experience
Strong basic management, human relations and communication skills.
Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
Must meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the federal motor carrier safety regulations.
Must successfully complete weight and balance training if managing any trunk ramp agents.
