About The Position

Responsibilities Job Summary: The Radiology/Imaging Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations (patient flow) and efficiency of the Radiology/Imaging Department. The Manager is responsible for staffing according to patient needs as well as recruitment processes. The manager must have knowledge of all areas within the Radiology/Imaging Departments. Must utilize the principles of continuous quality improvement in collaboration with other health team members. The Radiology/Imaging Manager performs examinations according to the currently accepted practices of the ARRT and TMB. The Radiology/Imaging Manager will prepare and oversee the technical processes and training for exams including ensuring exam rooms, equipment and supplies for procedures are readily available and meet quality standards. These service lines include the CT, FED and IR/ Bi-Plane responsibilities. Can work in a professional manner with Radiologists, Physicians and Mid-level providers ensuring quality safe patient care. Essential Job Functions: Oversees JCAHO, TDH, regulatory, and unit compliance, maintaining a smooth functioning healthcare team and also serves as senior Radiologist Technologist advisor. Coordinates and provides direct patient care in a timely effective manner in collaboration with other healthcare team members. Reviews each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examination to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure. Appropriately coordinates and supervises healthcare team for timely, compassionate, effective and efficient healthcare delivery. 5. Identifies anatomical orientation on all required images, and ensures proper film identification on all images. Requirements

  • Graduate of a recognized, approved American Medical Association Council of Education program in radiologic technology; associate's degree preferred.
  • Current ARRT license
  • Certification by A.R.R.T on Computer Tomography or registry eligible.
  • BLS Required
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in hospital setting preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written skills required
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Ability to recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas.
  • Must possess a positive and courteous attitude, and take the initative to go beyond what is expected in a teamwork environment
