About The Position

The Manager, Quality Assurance & Systems, reporting to the Sr. Manager, Quality & Repair, VPC, leads quality assurance operations and quality system governance supporting Toyota vehicle processing and accessory operations. This role oversees TMNA's Vehicle Quality Audit Program (VPQA), ensures compliance with standards and regulations, and drives continuous improvement through audits, corrective actions, and process standardization. The position combines people leadership with technical quality systems expertise, developing quality professionals and technical trainers, strengthening document control and records management, and promoting a safety-first, customer-focused culture that supports sustained quality performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Quality or related field and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience Req
  • 7-9 years Experience in quality assurance, quality systems, or related functions. Demonstrated leadership experience Required
  • Advanced understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and structured problem-solving (8D, PDCA, A3, DMAIC)
  • Expertise in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and Process Control
  • Proficiency in audit management, regulatory/Toyota compliance, and quality management system governance
  • Strong data analysis capability to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and influence outcomes across departments and partners
  • Familiarity with Toyota Production System (TPS) and Toyota quality/processing standards
  • ISO 9000 Series Intermediate-Advanced Required

Responsibilities

  • Advance and sustain a safety-first culture by promoting employee engagement, accident prevention, and compliance with workplace safety standards.
  • Champion the company’s mission, values, and culture through quality leadership and decision-making.
  • Lead, coach, and develop quality operations leaders, auditors, managers, and quality systems personnel through performance management and succession development
  • Direct administration of TMNA’s Vehicle Quality Audit Program (VPQA) and provide quality leadership for TMNA Modification and Stop Sale Campaigns in partnership with TMNA Quality Audit and Service teams.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve quality management system processes—including audits, document control, non conformance, and corrective and preventive action—to ensure compliance with Toyota standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Plan and execute audits and inspections to validate process compliance, identify systemic gaps, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement using structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Oversee quality performance metrics, scorecards, and KPIs; analyze trends and risks to prioritize improvement initiatives and optimize processes
  • Ensure installation methods and work instructions align with Toyota Processing Standards to enable repeatable, high-quality outcomes.
  • Partner with GST Accessory Management and cross-functional teams to support new product development, vehicle and accessory launches, and change management by providing quality leadership and risk assessment
  • Communicate quality risks, priorities, and recommendations to VPC leadership, GST Accessory and Service management, and TMNA Product Planning to drive alignment and execution.
  • Oversee document control and records management to ensure version control, accessibility, and retention
  • Develop organizational capability by training and mentoring quality professionals and technical trainers.
  • Ensure protection of customer and consumer data in compliance with company privacy and security requirements.
  • Directly supervise assigned associates in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws
