Raytheon is looking for an experienced Procurement professional to join its ASDS (Air and Space Defense Systems) Supply Chain Acquisition team. You will report directly to the Manager of Space Acquisitions, supporting multiple programs and proposal efforts within the ASDS mission area. This position will manage medium and high complexity commodity procurements. The procurement manager will operate as the focal point interface to handle communication between Raytheon Programs and suppliers. This is a remote position located in the United States.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience
  • DoD procurement experience and knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS) – ability to place Purchase Orders over TINA dollar threshold
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience communicating effectively both verbally and in writing with internal customers and suppliers. Must be able to handle multiple decisions based on dispersion of workload, program priorities, and program directions
  • Proficiency to perform and comprehend price analyses, source selection/justification, with guidance as needed
  • Experience in leading formal negotiations (price, schedule, and supplier exceptions to contractual flow down requirements, as well as standard Terms and Conditions)
  • Knowledge of import / export regulations (ITAR/EAR)
  • SAP System or PRISM experience
  • Experience working in a Team environment collaborating with MPMs, Accounting, Production Control, Engineering
  • Ability to learn and effectively apply new tools, processes and procedures
  • Experience with technical requirements of procured hardware and services – including Statement of Work (SOW) review
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing complex supply chain operations and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and issuance of RFIs, RFPs. Letter Subcontracts, POs
  • Place purchase orders of medium to high complexity in accordance with all regulatory (FAR/DFAR) and corporate compliance requirements for various complex subcontract (Cost Type, Incentive Type, Firm Fixed, etc.).
  • Perform price and cost analysis techniques in support of proposals and placements.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships to secure the best terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and ensure procurement activities align with business goals.
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and quality standards.
  • Maintain POs to ensure accurate and timely supplier delivery information.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier performance.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to procurement and supply chain activities.
  • Ensure adherence to RTX Corporation’s procurement policies and procedures.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Communicate clearly and be proactive in a very fast-paced environment. Be flexible, innovative, work with speed and agility yet be thorough and compliant with government and Raytheon regulations, while successfully driving tasks to completion.
  • Assist in the training of peer procurement professionals as needed.
  • Travel to Raytheon Technologies and supplier facilities as deemed necessary and appropriate to conduct business.
