The role involves establishing and maintaining engineering and design policies and standards across the company. The individual will provide centralized engineering leadership and coordination for quality and manufacturing issues that cross product lines. As a technical engineering expert, the individual will maintain cognizance over and act on behalf of the company regarding technical activities in the assigned Area of Responsibility (AoR). The position includes delegated decision-making authority for the company and requires apprising the Director, Chief Engineer on final decisions. The individual will function as the technical engineering expert with authority to review and concur with all major departures from specifications and will lead and/or direct engineering policies within the technical discipline teams, serving as the single point of contact for engineering matters crossing contracts and product lines.
