Supervises all office, clerical, and support staff and maintains adequate supplies and equipment. Functions typically in a more complex medical office two or more physicians, multiple office sites with multiple testing/medical services. Exhibits independent decision making abilities. Assumes overall responsibility for billing and AR follow-up within the office. Performs as backup for the office staff. Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Completion of Medical Assistant training preferred.
  • Some post high school education preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of physician practice reimbursement methodologies and medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience required.
  • Minimum of 4 years physician office experience required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD 10 and CPT
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Excel, Physician Billing and Scheduling
  • Knowledge of Insurance Plans

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of Medical Assistant training
  • Some post high school education
