SUMMARY: The IT QA Test Engineering Manager oversees the activity of the Quality Assurance department and staff. The role develops, implements, and maintains all test automation for the organization's products and/or development processes. You must be eligible to work in the US without Visa Sponsorship. JOB DUTIES Provides hands-on leadership to a team of test automation professionals responsible for the development and maintenance of all automated tests and test pipelines. Works with cross-departmental IT teams to deliver high quality products on schedule and within budget. Provides high-level input as to the direction of manual and automated testing, and develops prioritized action test plans for Motion applications. Participates in interviews, hiring, training and performance evaluation of all QA Analysts. Gathers and presents test automation metrics and testing activities to key stakeholders. Utilizes objective measures to identify improvement opportunities in test processes, team and tester efficiencies, and quality of deliverables. Works with Application Development managers and developers, product owners, and business owners to understand system logic and application behavior. Reviews Agile stories and acceptance criteria to ensure they are clearly defined and testable. Keeps abreast of emerging technology and trends. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Typically requires a bachelor's degree and at least five (5) years of experience in IT. Master's degree is a plus. Three (3) or more years of proven experience leading a team of SDETs / Test Automation Engineers Three (3) or more years of demonstrated ability using Selenium, webdriver.io, Postman, JaxRS, Appium, Cucumber, Cypress, or other test automation tools and frameworks. Five (5) or more years of demonstrated ability writing code in Java and/or JavaScript KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES Good verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, work environment. Experience with multiple SDLC methodologies (waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Hybrid Agile, etc) Knowledge of modern test methodologies and drive to learn. Demonstrated success as a team lead or in a prior IT management role. Excellent knowledge of risk management, risk identification and risk-based testing. Proficiency with VersionOne is desirable Proficiency with VersionOne is desirable Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose a resolution Strong leadership skills; able to empower and mentor engineers with different levels of experience Working knowledge of test automation tools and processes a plus.
