About The Position

The Manager of Inside Plant (ISP) is responsible for overseeing all activities related to Inside Plant operations, including the management of staff involved in the reception and distribution of off-air transport programming. This role encompasses the design, installation, operation, and repair of critical infrastructure associated with Headend, Hub, and Optical Transport Network facilities. The manager will ensure compliance with corporate standards and FCC regulations while fostering a high-performance culture within the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum eight (8) years of engineering or electronics work experience.
• Minimum two (2) years of project management experience.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum two (2) years of management or leadership experience.
• Desirable: CCNA, CCDA certifications.
• Knowledge of company products and services.
• Knowledge of National Electric Code and National Electric Safety Code.
• In-depth understanding of Optical designs (DWDM) and IP networking.

Responsibilities

• Manage all Inside Plant activities and staff responsible for programming transport.
• Develop an effective Inside Plant Operations team and assist in skill development.
• Ensure structured execution of work tasks and compliance with corporate TQA standards.
• Oversee cabling, equipment installation, power, and cooling operations.
• Ensure ongoing training for technical personnel and establish positive employee relations.
• Participate in capital and expense forecasting processes.
• Notify senior management of activities and issues, and handle difficult issues.
• Set priorities for leads and review staff performance.
• Maintain logs, records, and documentation per company and FCC requirements.
• Support and upgrade critical infrastructure hardware, including power systems and HVAC.
