About The Position

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Interview, hire, train, and evaluate housekeeping and laundry staff.
  • Provide clear direction and instruction to staff regarding their work.
  • Plan, organize, and monitor staff activities to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards.
  • Manage finances of housekeeping and laundry operations, including budget and inventory controls.
  • Analyze data and compile reports on expenditures, wages, labor, and supplies in relation to hotel financial forecasts.
  • Establish and maintain adequate supplies for efficient operation of the department.
  • Distribute and delegate workload to maximize production and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor house count and adjust staffing accordingly.
  • Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies, providing training and ensuring proper labeling.
  • Plan and conduct staff meetings and attend related meetings to disseminate information.
  • Evaluate the condition of furniture, fixtures, and decor, making recommendations for rehab projects.
  • Communicate effectively with staff both verbally and in writing.
