EOG's Environmental Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing pro-active division-specific environmental programs to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations. This includes a variety of responsibilities such as spill prevention and response, air emission control and permitting, storm water control and permitting, wetlands and jurisdictional waters management, waste management, community right-to-know initiatives, endangered species protection, and cultural resources management. The role also involves promoting environmental awareness at all levels of management and field operations. The Environmental Manager will oversee the preparation of all required air and storm water permit applications for complex oil and gas facilities and associated operations, including gas plants, common delivery points, and crude bulk terminals. Additionally, the manager will advise production operations and facility engineers regarding air permitting requirements and obligations, emission control options, facility design, and compliance documentation. The position requires the development of facility response plans and coordination of required spill and crisis response training. The Environmental Manager will conduct and coordinate due diligence efforts, including Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments. Furthermore, the manager will manage multiple ongoing environmental projects, oversee remediation projects in environmentally sensitive areas, and assist with the investigation of environmentally related landowner complaints. The role also includes investigating and reporting spills and other environmental incidents internally and externally as required by law, monitoring federal, state, and local regulations, and their potential impacts on division operations. The Environmental Manager will attend industry trade group meetings and participate in industry regulatory development efforts, as well as coordinate with corporate environmental staff in the development of the S&E management system.
