About The Position

This position serves as the overall technical program management leader for future submarine propulsion plant design, supporting VCS, SSNX, SSNA, and other nuclear propulsion design efforts. The position is responsible for task execution, planning, and conducting program activities to the highest standards. There is regular communication and coordination between other NNS technical managers, GDEB program and technical leaders, NNL, NR, and vendors. Significant experience in the development of new submarine propulsion plant designs and program management is required to succeed in this role.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of progressive technical experience in research, engineering and design; Master's Degree and 6 years of relevant experience; PhD and 4 years of relevant experience.
• Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• US Citizenship Required for this Position
• Clearance Required: Yes- Final Clearance Required to Start
