This position is responsible for setting and coordinating policies and managing functions necessary for the successful execution of Naval Architecture activities for design and construction of US Naval and US Coast Guard vessels under contract. Ideal candidate should have a significant depth and breadth of technical knowledge and experience in structural analysis, foundation analysis, outfitting and furnishing technical, heavy lift analysis, translation, launch, incline experiments, corrosion control, survivability, and human factors engineering. Individual must provide direction to subordinate supervisors to meet schedules or resolve technical problems. The position will include role as EVMS Control Account Manager (CAM) for Naval Architecture Technical Cost Centers. The CAM is responsible for scheduling, planning, risk, opportunity, variance, cost, and performance related to Naval Architecture technical control accounts.
