About The Position

This is position serves as a Manager Engineering 2 on our Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Team. This is a leadership role for our Adv. Manufacturing Design & Deployment Team. Efforts will include part-scanning, design for additive manufacturing, field support services, design drawings, product support, and special projects. This leadership role is a cross-functional role within our product development and engineering team. Roles will include field service support, support for our supply base, design and design concept development, and support for product deployment. Manages a segment of a program or a function. Responsible for the direct supervision/management of the staff. Responsible for providing objective-oriented direction to subordinates utilizing management guidelines & general policies. Program Manager Responsibilities include: planning and program performance addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality of a work package, subsystem, or related group of work packages on a large system development-type contract or full responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a large delivery order or mid-size technical services-type contract.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • 6 years of progressive technical experience in research, engineering and/or design; or a Master's Degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate engineering leadership.
  • Experience in 3D printing and/or 2D/3D CAD & CAM.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize work effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Practical experience in project management.
  • Experience leading a team of engineers in advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Ability to collaborate with management, engineers, and other staff.
  • Functional knowledge of MS Office tools.
  • Mechanical or materials engineering background.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Advanced Manufacturing Design & Deployment Team.
  • Oversee part-scanning and design for additive manufacturing.
  • Provide field support services and product support.
  • Manage design drawings and special projects.
  • Supervise and manage staff within the engineering team.
  • Plan and manage program performance including cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality.
