About The Position

The Labor Relations Manager at Collins Aerospace will serve as the primary liaison to the local Union at the Riverside, CA facility, focusing on maintaining positive employee relations, resolving disputes, and ensuring compliance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). This role requires strong emotional intelligence and collaboration skills to navigate complex labor relations effectively.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or 12 years of relevant experience in absence of a degree.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for access to information under this program/contract.
  • Experience working as a Labor Relations professional administering a CBA.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with data in Microsoft Excel to manipulate spreadsheets and reports.
  • Experience investigating and resolving employee relations and ethics issues for non-bargaining unit employees.
  • Experience developing and leveraging relationships in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience coaching, consulting, and influencing leaders.
  • Experience with conflict resolution and mediating between parties.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Strategically manage and administer CBAs, including effective relationships with Union leadership.
  • Support labor contract negotiations and administer grievance procedures.
  • Advise leaders on positive employee relations strategies and performance management processes.
  • Train leaders on their responsibilities under the CBA and advise on business decisions.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with business and union leadership.
  • Conduct investigations and make disciplinary recommendations as needed.
  • Interpret and advise leaders on business decisions related to the CBA.
  • Drive positive employee relations strategies that embody the Collins culture.
