About The Position

Responsible for the prioritization, scheduling, preparation and execution of corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance tasks, projects switching evolutions and tests associated with all disciplines in PPL EU. This work supports the electric system operations in one of the 3 super regions in EU. Ensures alignment of work plan with EU business performance goals, priorities and objectives. Provide regional leadership and oversight support for achieving financial growth, operational excellence and customer loyalty by. Supports the improvements of critical business processes to ensure the management of work and resources for optimal productivity and customer service.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or 8 years of equivalent work experience
3+ years Three (3) years utility line and substation experience. Knowledge of transmission system.
Demonstrated leadership experience, and proven track record of operations management in complex financial systems and resource management.
Experience with contracts and involvement with resource loading and job planning.
Valid PA Drivers License.

Nice To Haves

Graduate degree in Business or Organizational Dynamics.
Five (5) years’ experience working with the business plan or extensive knowledge of workflow and work management experience.
Minimum of 2 years prior supervisory experience.
Understanding of the current Bargaining Unit rules.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the prioritization, scheduling, planning, preparation and execution of corrective, preventative and predictive maintenance tasks, projects, switching evolutions and tests associated with all disciplines of EU.
Implement a work process for PPL EU operations that optimizes resources, addresses operational priorities, and ensures alignment with PPL EU financial, customer, reliability, safety and performance goals.
Implement key performance measures, controls, and procedures to ensure the consistent application of the Work Management process across PPL EU and instill accountability for adherence to the process and completion of planned work. Ensure organizational adherence to schedules, milestones, key performance measures, controls and procedures for consistent application across operations of the Work Management process and instill accountability for adherence to the process and completion of planned work.
Apply a consistent model to drive resource sharing and provide decision-making and accountability for proper resource shifts.
Develop and maintain a learning organization that fosters a high-performance culture and promotes diversity. Serves as a change agent for business initiatives and assures the human element is understood and considered including timely recognition of employees. Provide leadership to and development of the WM Programs management team. Use effective performance management to provide accurate and timely feedback and identify opportunities for growth and learning.
Provide direction and maintain indirect authority over the regional planning group for key planning process deliverables (i.e., on-time, high-quality work packages).
Interface with other departments in PPL EU and represent Work Management regarding process and procedural issues.
Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the EU Work Management policies, programs, procedures and processes.
All positions in which driving is an essential function of the job, regardless if the job code is marked safety sensitive or not, will also be included as safety sensitive.
May be assigned an Electric Utilities emergency and storm role. This is a special assignment that comes into play during storms and other emergencies when the company needs to restore power or respond to other issues affecting customer service. This role may necessitate the need to work after-hours, outside of your normal schedule.
The company reserves the right to determine if this position will be assigned to work on-site, remotely, or a combination of both. Assigned work location may change. In the case of remote work, physical presence in the office/on-site may be required to engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among direct reports and co-workers.
