Position Summary Applies leadership in directing the activities of the Customer Solutions and Innovation organization to manage the Clean Transportation (CT) and electric transportation (collectively, EV’s) infrastructure and business operations processes across company service territories while improving customer experience and increasing customer choice. Oversee day-to-day business operations and management of the CT Infrastructure team. Close collaborator with other CT team members and other business areas including operations, the operating company and financial organizations. Represents the company in regulatory and legal matters. Manages routine budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in, business, engineering, operations, technology, or related discipline and/or work experience.
  • 8 years of related experience, 6 years of management experience.
  • Skills sought are communication of complex and advanced strategies, comprehensive budgeting and planning, project management, product management, sound business judgment, excellent communication skills, problem resolution and proven results.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Preferred 5 years of regulated utility experience, including in-depth understanding of the regulated financial model.
  • Experience with DER/CT integration processes desired.
  • Previous knowledge of Xcel Energy operational systems
  • Previous direct leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership for staff regarding Clean Transportation infrastructure and business operations processes across all service territories.
  • Lead the implementation, delivery and execution of strategic business priorities and measure and report on the results.
  • Accountable to drive team toward execution and specific revenue, earnings, and customer loyalty as well as satisfaction metrics.
  • Accountable for achievement of goals relative to project completion, budgets, safety, facility performance, regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction
  • Manage, develop and evaluate staff to ensure continuous development, focus on results-oriented performance, and attainment of quality metrics.
  • Manage staffing levels within the organization to address peak workload.
  • Responsible for daily management to include budgeting, hiring, coaching, counseling, terminating, and making pay decisions for exempt and non-exempt staff.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to align operations and services with customer service expectations, business needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Streamline and drive solid, documented processes and act as the owner for investigating and delivering process improvement and efficiency.
  • Direct relationships and work requirements of equipment installation contractors.
  • Assure that contractors performing work are knowledgeable and in compliance with Xcel Energy standards, policies, procedures, and Federal, State and Local regulations.
  • Coordinates the activities with distribution operations, customers and installation contractors to ensure a safe, expedient and reliable interconnection process to the distribution system for CT make ready and customer installation efforts.
  • Manages development of Unit business plan and operating budget.
  • Monitors results.
  • Ensures alignment with organization and corporate objectives.
  • Stays abreast of new technologies and current industry practices.
  • Represents Company in Regional/National organizations.
