About The Position

The Assistant Director of Assessment & Referral will ensure smooth admissions into the hospital, assess patients for admission, and make appropriate referrals under the direction of the Director of Assessment and Referral.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree required in Psychology, Sociology or related field.
• Two (2) years’ experience clinical experience in a psychiatric setting.
• Prior management experience preferred.
• LCSW, LMSW or LPC preferred.
• CPR Certification required.
• Prefer knowledge of recruitment, selection, benefits, employment law, worker’s compensation, compensation, employee relations.
• Advanced computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assure smooth and orderly admissions into the hospital.
• Receive incoming admission inquiry calls.
• Assess patients for admission and make appropriate referrals.
• Participate in staff evaluation and shift leadership.
• Provide task assignment and accountability necessary to complete all admissions related duties for their shift.
