About The Position

The Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) Program in the School of Education at the University of San Francisco is seeking adjunct instructors to teach course(s) for the Summer Semester. Students in the MFT Program graduate with a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. Graduates are eligible to gain hours for licensure through the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) for the MFT and have the option of gaining eligibility for the License in Professional Clinical Counseling. We encourage outstanding and qualified candidates to apply as soon as possible. Below is a description of the courses offered in the summer semester, some of which may need staffing. Please check with the program coordinator and/or department chair to confirm course openings.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in MFT, Ph.D./Psy.D, in Clinical or Counseling Psychology required.
  • Demonstrate expertise and knowledge in the specific content area of the course.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses in the MFT Program for the Summer Semester.
  • Integrate issues of diversity, equity, and advocacy in teaching.
  • Prepare course materials and assessments.
  • Engage with students and provide academic support.
