JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILIIES Position primarily responsible for, but not limited to, troubleshooting, repairing, running and adjusting of various power equipment. Requirements

  • Simple math skills.
  • Must possess physical dexterity sufficient to accomplish required tasks.
  • Must possess cooperative attitude toward coworkers and management.
  • Must operate equipment safely and wear specified PPE such as earplugs, safety glasses, etc., as deemed necessary for the safety of operator, coworkers and facility.
  • Capable of working in a standing position 100% of the time.
  • Continuous mental and visual attention requiring constant alertness or activity.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
  • Available to work long hours and weekends, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Repair to specifications power equipment rejected during the assembly process.
  • Capable of starting, using manual or automated means, power equipment.
  • Capable of placing power equipment on a test station and making necessary adjustments to ensure performance and environmental standards are maintained.
  • Support assembly by training new personnel on the different line operations.
  • Dispose of non-conforming material per established procedures.
  • Support assembly line changeovers by preparing each station with the proper work instructions, material, fixtures and tooling such as drivers and wrenches.
  • Capable of interpreting and/or completing charts, schedules, reports, forms and records.
  • Maintain equipment in clean and good working order, reporting equipment problems to supervisor.
  • Strive for continual improvement in departmental processes and functions.
  • Adhere to company's quality policy to provide customer satisfaction through high quality products, delivered on-time at a cost that represents value.
  • Adhere to 5S methodology which is to Sort, Set in Order (organize and identify), Shine (clean), Standardize and Sustain (maintain).
