About The Position

Responsible for upkeep, maintenance and troubleshooting of the Ammonia system, air compressor system, fire protection system, boiler system, Electrical switchgear system, Sanitary (DAF) system, Plant Refrigeration (non-ammonia systems), buildings/grounds and HVAC systems. Responsibilities include Upkeep, Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, Upgrades, Troubleshooting, and Repair in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer's specifications, blueprints, Process Safety Management, Emergency Response, Country Oven Bakery and Kroger Policies. Requirements

• Past or present experience with Country Oven Bakery Engine room equipment.
• Current member of the Emergency Response Team.
• Ability to understand complex verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to read diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer's specifications, blueprints, etc.
• Basic math skills.
• Understanding of mechanics, electrical equipment, hydraulics/pneumatics, welding, and refrigeration.
• Working knowledge of OSHA safety procedures and lock out program.
• Two years certification from vocational or technical school.
• 5 years prior maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Upkeep, Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, Upgrades, Troubleshooting, and Repair of various systems.
• Understand and follow diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer's specifications, and blueprints.
• Perform maintenance on Ammonia system, air compressor system, fire protection system, boiler system, Electrical switchgear system, Sanitary (DAF) system, Plant Refrigeration (non-ammonia systems), buildings/grounds and HVAC.
• Use safety practices and lock out procedures.
• Operate hand tools, welding equipment, air power tools, and electrical monitoring equipment.
• Lift up to 70 lbs using proper techniques.
• Receive and complete work orders from supervision, planners, or Engine Room Group Leader.
• Document work in the Engine Room Logbook and in the CMMS.
• Check for mechanical, structural, electrical, and pneumatic defects.
• Maintain daily upkeep of buildings and grounds.
• Troubleshoot PLC programs for assigned systems.
• Install new Engine Room equipment and test their performance.
• Attend safety, emergency response, and departmental meetings.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
• Participate in Focus Teams and contribute to reliability goals.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area.
