Responsibilities for this Position Duties and Tasks: Develops a cohesive project plan, authorizes the work, and manages cost, schedule and technical performance of projects (products, services and supplier content) Organizes interdepartmental activities to ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within budget Leads department or cross-functional project teams in matrix organization to achieve schedule, cost, and technical performance objectives Identifies issues, tracks progress, and follows through on corrective actions Creates product configurations and data sheets Supports customers and suppliers on technical questions regarding products Leads team in forecasting project cost and schedule completion as required based on performance trends Prepares and presents project status to leadership Leads team to identify and quantify risks and opportunities; leads risk mitigation / opportunity capture activities Develops and executes proposal plans and strategies for assigned projects Develops negotiation plans Leads customer and supplier negotiations for projects Responsible for Cost, Schedule, and Quality of MFG programs led

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 0 years of relevant experience
  • CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Technical understanding of product(s)
  • Solid knowledge of work estimating, allocation, scheduling, and authorization
  • Solid ability to generate cohesive project plans
  • Solid ability to track work accomplished to baseline plans to ensure rate of work completion is sufficient to meet schedules
  • Solid ability to identify issues, track progress, and follow through on effective corrective actions based on data analysis and trends
  • Solid ability to understand and analyze project financial data
  • Solid understanding of the fundamentals of risk and opportunity management and ability to apply them to projects and suppliers
  • Solid ability to lead teams in matrix organization to achieve schedule, cost, and technical performance objectives
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal
  • Ability to make sound, proactive decisions
  • Ability to develop and execute proposal plans and strategies
  • Negotiation skills
  • Solid knowledge of MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • May be required to travel

  • Prefer previous MFG experience especially Defense Manufacturing
