About The Position

What You Will Do Identify, plan, and implement improvements to existing manufacturing processes and test systems using Six Sigma and LEAN methodologies Specify and/or purchase equipment, tooling, and fixtures for process changes Suggest, define, and participate in Kaizen projects Create and maintain work instructions and train Assembly Technicians to them Develop and maintain Bills of Material, Bills of Operation and Time Standards and drive improvement Participate in Design for Assembly (DFA) / Design for Manufacturing (DFM) activities to verify manufacturability of Product Designs Actively participate in PFMEA, DFMEA, Process Mapping, and Critical to Quality (CTQ) reviews assuring specifications are well defined and documented Create and review process flow charts, assembly tooling strategies, assembly line layouts, balance tables, and assembly capacity analysis Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished product, and process capabilities establishing standards conforming manufacturing processes Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs and reviewing production schedules estimating future requirements Prepare product and process reports: collect, analyze, and summarize information and trends Who You Are and What You Bring Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering. Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering disciplines preferred. 0 - 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read schematics and specifications. Strong planning, problem solving, organizational, and critical thinking skills. Desired But Not Required Experience developing robust processes in box-build and Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCA) environments. Lean Manufacturing experience with knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Methods and Procedures. Understanding of engineering design practices and ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams. Understanding of product development lifecycles, design change, and document change control. Please note that we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. The anticipated base pay range for this position is $80,000 – $90,000. Pay ranges are determined by role, job level and primary job location.  The range displayed reflects the reasonable range we anticipate paying for this position and reflects the cost of labor within several U.S. geographic markets. The specific salary offered within the range will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant and prior experience, education, skills, and primary work location.  It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each position. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering. Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering disciplines preferred.
  • 0 - 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read schematics and specifications.
