Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Associate degree in a related field
• Minimum of two years previous quality assurance lab experience
• Knowledge of food safety programs, microbiological and sanitation concepts
• Functional knowledge and use of Microsoft Office
• Basic math and computer skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Experience in a grocery store environment
• Leadership experience
• Familiarity with Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles

Responsibilities

• Perform required product tests, audits, and calibrations to ensure food safety and consistent quality.
• Maintain accurate documentation of tests and results.
• Complete tasks on 'If down, do' lists as assigned.
• Conduct safety observations as required.
• Keep the work area neat and clean.
• Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
• Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems.
