About The Position

The Mfg. Engineering Co-op (Supply Chain) position involves supporting outsourcing initiatives on machined parts, weldments, sheet metal, mechanical assemblies, and cables/wire harnessing. The role requires answering vendor questions related to specifications on assemblies and parts being outsourced, interfacing with Design Engineering to identify drawing change requirements, and managing bill of materials (BOM) analysis and questions. Additionally, the co-op will generate Change Notices to correct or improve Engineering documentation and coordinate component cost reduction initiatives. The position also involves selecting replacement components due to parts obsolescence and investigating alternative parts to support critical supply chain issues.

Responsibilities

• Support outsourcing initiatives on machined parts, weldments, sheet metal, mechanical assemblies, and cables/wire harnessing.
• Answer vendor questions related to specifications on assemblies and parts being outsourced.
• Interface with Design Engineering to identify drawing change requirements and correct drawings.
• Manage bill of materials (BOM) analysis and questions.
