The MFG Assembly Technician III position at Amazon's Project Kuiper involves working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on assembling and testing avionic LRUs and electrical-mechanical assemblies. The role is critical to the success of Project Kuiper, which aims to provide global broadband access through a satellite constellation. Technicians will be responsible for ensuring quality, reliability, and manufacturability of products while adhering to safety standards and improving operational processes.

  • Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations.
  • Assemble and test an assortment of avionic LRUs and electrical-mechanical assemblies with attention to detail.
  • Handle and install fiber-optics and PCBAs.
  • Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated.
  • Support preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems.
  • Identify equipment requirements and process improvements, and maintain floor stock inventory.
  • Independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables.
  • Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance.
  • Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients using pallet jacks and kit carts.
  • Contribute to improving SOPs and safety procedures.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years relevant high traceability manufacturing experience (Aerospace, Medical or related field).
  • 2+ years of hands-on work experience in Electrical-Mechanical Assembly, Final Integration, and/or Harness Integration.
  • 1+ years of experience in a fast-paced production environment.
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with precision torque, measurement, and inspection devices.
  • ASE Certification
  • Airframe & Powerplant License
  • CFOT certification or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years reading, interpreting, and working from engineering documentation and/or drawings
  • Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements
