About The Position

Comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures. Maintain a cooperative attitude toward all associates. Perform GP12 audits. Read and interpret Blue prints. GD & T knowledge and practical application. Advanced Gear & spline knowledge. Understand machining process (Soft Turn, Spline Roll, Heat Treat, Grinding, Lap & Test). Complete PPAP dimensional data documentation. Assist in measuring 1 st piece of standard production parts. Perform dimensional layouts with minimal supervision. Assist in the training of manufacturing associates on use of measuring equipment. Apply analytical problem-solving techniques where appropriate. Operate all lab equipment in the Metrology Labs in a safe and effective manner. Inspect components manufactured at plant 1. Inspect and document new tooling. Assist gage technician with minor adjustments and repairs to gages. Interpret, operate, program and edit helical gear programs into the P40 gear analyzer. Program new Optical comparator vision system. Prepare documentation for management review. Interpret CMM measuring results. Data collection and storage. Train applying metrology Inspector associates. Set-up, adjust measuring equipment in Metrology lab to ensure proper measurement results are achieved. Perform GR & R and capability studies. C ommunicate when there is an issue affecting the Environment, Health, Safety or Quality to his / her respective Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma is required
  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Lab experience is required
