About The Position

We’re looking for a detail‑driven Metrology Inspector with experience in a manufacturing environment to help ensure our products meet the highest standards of precision and quality. In this role, you’ll work closely with department staff and supervision to verify that all surface characteristics and dimensions meet drawing and specification requirements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment; optical inspection experience is a plus.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong understanding of blueprints, specifications, and manufacturing processes.
• Sound judgment when determining part acceptability for downstream operations.
• Ability to follow direction and apply constructive feedback.

Responsibilities

• Execute in‑process inspection of optical and mechanical characteristics and document results.
• Configure and operate interferometers, profilometers, and other optical metrology systems.
• Perform high‑accuracy mechanical measurements using indicators, micrometers, calipers, and gage blocks.
• Validate dimensional accuracy during de‑gating operations.
• Escalate measurement deviations to the Department Supervisor and setup personnel.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality to resolve quality discrepancies.
• Follow all department procedures and accurately complete production data logs.
• Support Lean Manufacturing practices, including maintaining 5S standards and a clean work environment.
