About the position

Eurofins Quality Engineering is looking for an entry level Associate Metrologist to perform maintenance, calibration, and/or qualification of basic and intermediate routine laboratory instrumentation in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements. This individual will maintain compliance of quality systems and laboratory instrumentation. Individuals with strong organizational skills, robust written and verbal communication skills, and an eagerness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
  • Demonstrates strong client service skills, teamwork, and collaboration
  • Proactively plans and multitasks to maximize productivity
  • Meets all quality and productivity metrics and demonstrates strong teamwork and collaboration
  • Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
  • Interact with external vendors to coordinate service visits, both prior to and on the day of service
  • Interact with external vendors to coordinate external calibration of Eurofins laboratory instruments
  • Routinely work within internal purchasing software to assist with all phases of vendor billing from initial quote request to final invoice adjustments
  • Maintain routine instruments in a validated controlled state at all times
  • Ensure completion of preventative maintenance and routine testing for basic and intermediate instruments
  • Ensure all activities are completed on time and documented accurately and in compliance with existing quality systems
  • Organize schedule in a manner such that higher priority projects and tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensure completion of all assigned tasks according to company and department stated TAT's
  • Active involvement with process improvement initiatives
  • Foster teamwork internally and with technical groups to increase overall quality
  • Provide guidance and coaching within a team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's of Science with scientific concentration
  • Coursework in science and/or electronics
  • Strong PC skills and experience, LIMS experience is preferred
  • Experience with HPLC/GC in pharma preferred
  • Experience working with tools, electronics and/or diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship
  • Lives within a commutable distance of Lancaster.
