About The Position

The METRC Tech works with all departments to ensure that tagging, logging, and tracking of plants, plant tissue, seed stock and harvested cannabis are recorded and entered into the METRC system (Marijuana Enforcement Tracking Reporting Compliance, cannabis tracking software) accurately. Tags and/or labels plants, harvest batches, and other cannabis materials accurately. Conducts inventory cycle counts in a cultivation, processing, manufacturing, and/or distribution setting. Assists in the tracking process of plant destruction with all applicable departments. This includes the tracking, weighing, and logging of all disposed of plant material throughout the grow cycle. Assists in the data collection and logging of all movement of cannabis seed or cannabis clone, plants, and processed material. Assists with general upkeep of all materials related to METRC. Utilizes Excel spreadsheets daily. Performs other duties as directed.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain a state marijuana agent card and pass a background check.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel.
  • Mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high stress situations.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to stay focused.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Must be a team player with a 'can do' attitude.
  • Available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Excellent attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a licensed cannabis production facility preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate tagging, logging, and tracking of plants and cannabis materials in the METRC system.
