About The Position

Methods Process Analyst (Experienced and Expert) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Methods Process Analyst (Experienced and Expert) to support the 737 Military Derivative P-8 Poseidon submarine hunter aircraft in Tukwila, WA. This position is focused on the integration of military equipment installation into the aircraft through work package scheduling and the creation and tracking of key production performance indicators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in business or engineering related curriculum such as: Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Business Management, Data Analytics, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Aeronautics, or Math.
  • 5 or more years of experience working in an engineering, manufacturing and/or production environment.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience in Production Scheduling.

Nice To Haves

  • 9 or more years of experience using production scheduling software.
  • 9 or more years of experience working with Lean Manufacturing with knowledge of lean principles.
  • 9 or more years of experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership.
  • Experience developing metrics to drive results and business improvements.
  • Proficient in structured problem solving.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.
  • Proficient with Aurora Scheduling Tool.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and maintains an Aurora Software-based detailed schedule for the production line
  • Retrieves, analyzes, and displays metrics daily to the Boeing Production System Tier Board.
  • Performs recovery planning, headcount forecasting and Earned Value Management detail as needed
  • Conducts analysis of current and future business environment using established guidelines. (General analysis requests as needed)
  • Develops forecast, acquisition, and utilization plans to optimize resources in support of company initiatives and program business plans under the guidance of experienced analysts. (Headcount and equipment forecasting and capital planning)
  • Develops and maintains basic Business System factory definition to be used for manufacturing planning.
  • Contributes to the development of labor hour estimates for new or revised production and tooling work packages under the guidance of experienced analysts. (Estimates at Completions, Precedence Networking, equipment requirements)
  • Monitors performance to established labor-hour estimates. (Weekly financial and schedule Earned Value Management monitoring/reporting)
  • Assists in the development of integrated tool and production master schedules by developing tool and position plan/documents, tool down times, rate flow plans, 1 flows, and tool sequencing plans to maximize the efficiency of equipment, material and personnel. (Alignment of the Master Schedule provided by Integrated Planning and Scheduling into the production system schedule for your statement of work)
  • Assists in the identification and implementation of improvements to processes by analyzing current processes and utilizing established improvement methodologies to maximize the efficiency of equipment and personnel and to support company improvement initiatives (Technician Time on Product, efficiency opportunities, reduction of traveled work, Balancing the Line)
  • Analyzes changes to approved plans resulting from unplanned events (Recovery Planning, Overtime requirements, balancing work between work centers)
  • Assesses the impact of the changes that occur to cost, schedule, resources, and delivery. Analyzing impacts to the production system Key Performance Indicators
  • Develop modifications to existing plans and obtain approval.
  • Work with Manufacturing Engineering and support submission of change requests or changes to job locations
  • Participates in negotiations representing Production and Tooling Operations to support schedule commitments or statement of work impacts.
  • Provide schedule for tools for preventative maintenance cycles
  • Develops, implements, maintains, and statuses complex integrated shop operating plans to maximize the efficiency of equipment and personnel and to reduce inventory and meet cost and schedule commitments.
  • Report and Support production system improvements.
  • Gathers and analyzes shop performance metrics to support a recommended plan of action for Production
