About The Position
The Meter Technical Specialist serves as liaison with customers, coordinates resources for all metering projects, ensures correct materials, equipment and manpower are provided for project completion, performs simple job design, and assists with the complex design of metering projects. Serve as project technical lead for multiple, simultaneous projects. Lead, plan and oversee the testing, installation and maintenance of large billing meters and equipment for generation, transmission, and distribution systems. Solve complex metering problems involving meter theory, vector analysis and RF communications. Coordinate work activities with other departments, other utilities, or outside companies. May perform facility inspections in accordance with APS Standards. (Note: Some job duties include field activities that are performed outdoors at various project sites.)
