About The Position

Individual will perform work associated with the installation of electric meters and will read electric meters as required. Perform disconnects, reconnects, tests, exchanges, and meter installations throughout the Springfield District. Work with Supervision and Dispatcher to ensure timely and safe completion of all orders. Work in inclement weather required. Storm duty required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid motor vehicle operator's license required
• Electrical background strongly preferred
• Must pass the CAST test

Responsibilities

• Install electric meters
• Read electric meters as required
• Perform disconnects and reconnects
• Conduct tests and exchanges of meters
• Ensure timely and safe completion of all orders
• Work in inclement weather
• Respond to storm duty as required

Benefits

• Salary starts at Step 1 $30.90 p/hour and progresses in accordance with the union contract
