This class is responsible for general repair and maintenance of residential classes of electric and water meters. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, cleaning meters inspecting for worn/broken parts, replacing part/re-assembling meters; testing meters for proper recording of standardized measurement and accuracy; replacing/repairing/calibrating meters to meet applicable standards of accuracy; Conducting field visits to test all sizes of water meters; installing/troubleshooting residential smart AMI units; working with the Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) system; repairing/maintaining records/reports of work activities, issuing/receiving meters and related equipment to and from PWC Personnel. Operates under general supervision of the Meter Services Manager, in accordance with established policies and procedures. Performs related work as required.
