The Meter Reader position involves performing field and clerical duties related to reading water meters and recording water consumption data. The role requires the ideal candidate to have at least one year of relevant experience in reading water meters or performing data entry tasks that require high levels of accuracy with both alpha and numeric data. Proficiency in the use of computerized handheld devices, microprocessors, or smart technology to collect and record meter readings is essential. The position also demands the ability to work outdoors in subtropical climates and varying weather conditions, follow oral and written instructions, interpret maps and directions, and operate a motor vehicle safely throughout the workday. A valid Florida Driver’s License with a clean driving record is required.
