About The Position

In this role, Field Technicians will paint and inspect natural gas meter sets, as well as perform basic remedial repairs when needed. Technicians will use modern equipment to complete utility service work, including meter painting and supporting general maintenance activities. This position will begin with a focus on meter painting and meter maintenance duties. As training is completed and competencies are demonstrated, the employee will be cross trained to also perform meter installation work. Requirements

Valid, Unexpired Driver’s License
Must have keen senses of smell, hearing, vision, and color identification.
Must adhere to safety requirements & have customer service experience
Must be able to work outdoors in various weather & walk 3+ miles per day

Responsibilities

Stoop, bend, crawl, walk, climb ladders, and lift weights at a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted.
Occasionally ascending and descending stairs and ladders.
Work a route to complete meter painting and compliance orders in a timely manner and in accordance with training and procedures.
Safely working within the regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance.
Recognize abnormal operating conditions such as corrosion meters under stress, etc., and report to the supervisor.
Assists in performing regular inspections and maintenance of above and below-ground gas systems.
Performs other duties as assigned.
