About The Position

Requirements

Previous AMR/AMI Meter Installation experience and/or Field Technician experience is required.
Previous electrical experience, training or knowledge is a Required.
Must possess a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
Excellent communications skills
Customer Service skills – must be able to interface with Field Representatives & Customers in a positive and professional manner
Ability to read and understand maps
Self-motivated, ability to work independently
Must pass the following pre-employment requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Drug Screen
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in confined spaces, heights, and around moving mechanical parts.
Normal abilities to perform stooping, crawling, reaching, twisting/standing.
Ability to walk, sit or stand for extended periods of time
Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely for extended periods of time
Normal functioning senses, good eyesight, color vision, field and depth perception.
Environmental Requirements:
Environment will be inside and outside conditions.
Exposure to heat, cold, fumes, dust, noise and water.
Must be willing to work extended and irregular hours.
Ability to adjust to inclement weather changes.
Work around all types of animals.

Nice To Haves

Microsoft Windows knowledge
Ability to work in a fast-paced production, deadline driven environment
Deliver exceptional safe quality AMI meter installations
Ability to accurately record information in a Windows based handheld computer
Self-motivated, can work independently with technical support as needed

Responsibilities

Identify any issues or problems and elevate to the Supervisor on each occurrence
Accurately document the completion of all work performed
Perform the daily task of field deployment and route saturation
Physically able to lift equipment or other objects weighing 25 pounds or more
Ability to work in an outdoor environment, including walking, climbing, stooping & driving 8-10 hours per day in all types of weather conditions.
