About The Position
KTVT-TV, the CBS owned and operated station in Dallas-Fort Worth is seeking a Meteorologist with experience in a severe weather market. The ideal candidate must have superior forecasting and storytelling skills. They should be able to produce easy-to-understand and informational visuals, maps, and graphics to communicate the weather story to customers every day on air, online, and on social media platforms. Other duties include producing weather content, working with a team of meteorologists, and implementing station strategy. The candidate will be responsible for writing/preparing forecasts, producing graphics to tell the weather story across multiple platforms, and building a strong social media presence. Additionally, the candidate will be required to periodically write and report weather-related content for newscasts.
