Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related field
  • Approximately 3 years of professional experience in international B2B trading within the metals or scrap metals industry
  • Solid understanding of price risk, payment terms, counterparty risk, and margin protection in physical trading
  • Demonstrated ability to originate and execute trades independently; an existing supplier and/or buyer network in the North American secondary metals market is a strong advantage
  • Entrepreneurial mindset paired with strong negotiation and solid communication skills
  • Results-driven personality with hands-on mentality and a strong focus on achieving commercial KPIs
  • Fast learner with sound problem-solving skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working in a diverse team
  • Excellent command of English and at least one other language
  • Willingness to travel (~50%)
  • Valid work / residence permit for the United States

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated ability to originate and execute trades independently; an existing supplier and/or buyer network in the North American secondary metals market is a strong advantage

Responsibilities

  • Execute strategic initiatives to expand the company's presence in the secondary metals market in the United States, ensuring sustainable business growth
  • Ensure smooth and efficient buying and selling activities of scrap metals and recycled metals on METYCLE
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with our customers and support the expansion our product portfolio of secondary metals
  • Acquire, develop, and activate prospect leads jointly with our business development team
  • Negotiate and prepare commercial offers for our products (including pricing, payment terms, delivery terms) together with our trading team - both on the buying and on the selling side
  • Manage trades end-to-end in close collaboration with our operations team (orders, contracts, logistics, payments, etc.)
  • Monitor regional and global market trends and industry dynamics to identify new opportunities and refine business strategies for staying ahead in the metals market
  • Contribute to enhancing the customer experience and optimizing marketplace functionality by working closely with the technology development team
  • Represent METYCLE at important industry events, conferences, trade fairs and grow our brand through networking with relevant industry players
