Position Summary Working as an Equipment Technician in the Metals group, you'll be responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing and/or system operations, such as working with engineers and manufacturing in set-up and calibration tasks, system support, preventative maintenance, failure analysis, documenting/following standard operating procedures, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the process and production of memory chips and logic. You'll use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct in-line adjustments to products, instruments, equipment, or processes. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Requires compliance with all health, safety and environmental management system guidelines.

Requirements

  • Any 2-year technical certification (TTI, ITT, Trade Cert, HVAC, etc); 3+ ASE certs or 4 years Semiconductor Technician experience (no cert, passes test) or 4 years equivalent technical Military service
  • Familiarity with SPC methods and implementation
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Ability to quickly adapt in a continuous improvement in fast-paced, changing environment
  • Familiarity with TPM concepts
  • Ability to strictly adhere to SOPs.
  • Ability to work off-hours if necessary
  • Electro-mechanical aptitude, Basic understanding of hand tools, pneumatics, and electricity
  • All positions at Samsung Austin Semiconductor require you to be onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Performing Preventative Maintenance (PM)/Change Point Management (CPM)/System Maintenance: Following standard operating procedures to ensure equipment/ processes/systems are running effectively.
  • Troubleshooting: Conducts failure analysis and follows scripts to troubleshoot and anticipate future failures.
  • Monitoring Equipment/Process: Monitors equipment and processes in current state and proactively looks for ways to improve processes.
  • Working in a team environment and effectively communicating throughout organization.
