About The Position

Micron Technology is seeking a Metals Process Development Senior Engineer or Principal Engineer to join our Advanced DRAM research and development team. This position is pivotal in driving innovation in the metals process development area, contributing to the advancement of memory and storage solutions that enhance how information is utilized globally. As a member of this team, you will engage in cutting-edge research and development, working with state-of-the-art metals chambers and owning the process roadmap to achieve program and yield goals. Your role will involve collaboration with various process areas, including Dry Etch, Wet Etch, CVD, Diffusion, Lithography, and CMP, ensuring that you are at the forefront of technological advancements in the semiconductor industry. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to resolve complex issues and document innovative solutions related to equipment modifications and process research. You will lead significant projects that support technical innovation across the fabs, applying your understanding of solid-state physics, chemical kinetics, and thin-film deposition processes. Your hands-on experience with thin film deposition equipment in a lab or clean-room environment will be crucial as you conduct experiments and analyze data using various thin-film analysis techniques such as SIMS, XPS, EDS, AFM, SEM, TEM, and XRR. You will be responsible for planning and executing well-designed experiments, writing clear reports, and collaborating with diverse teams to accomplish tasks efficiently. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of driving projects independently while effectively utilizing available resources.
