Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Two years' experience in gear manufacturing or related process

Responsibilities

• Comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain productivity, quality, housekeeping, attendance and safety standards.
• Perform daily metlab duties per schedule and assist advanced/senior personnel.
• Clean and maintain cut-off-saw, lab equipment and lab accessories.
• Cut, mount, grind and polish lab samples as required.
• Identify heat treat process by microstructural examination with use of microscope.
• Perform preventative maintenance on inspection equipment.
• Approve steel certifications per GKN or customer specifications.
• Identify all microstructures in materials commonly used by GKN before and after heat treatment.
• Prepare PPAP samples and compare results with customer specifications.
• Use SAP to confirm lots that are accepted and to create requisitions.
• Perform basic Millipore cleanliness analysis on requested components.
• Work as a team member to ensure production quality.
• Responsible for communicating when there is an issue affecting the Environment, Health, Safety or Quality to his / her respective Manager.
