About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in metallurgy or materials engineering.
  • 15 years of experience related to metallurgical failure analysis consulting services.
  • Project management experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of destructive laboratory testing, metallography, and microscopy related to power generation and industrial component failures.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or a path toward PE licensure.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task on different projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review client needs related to failed or damaged metal components.
  • Develop proposals for providing condition assessment or failure analysis services.
  • Manage metallurgical laboratory projects through coordination of work scopes and interaction with lab technicians.
  • Review and interpret results, preparing reports to provide findings and recommendations.
  • Provide materials support to assist engineering teams in consulting services to nuclear, fossil, and renewable energy clients.
  • Manage root cause analysis investigations.
  • Provide asset management and condition assessment services.
