About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Metallurgical Development Lead to serve as a senior technical expert supporting manufacturing, quality, and customer-facing issues in a production-focused environment. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role for a metallurgist who thrives in applied problem-solving and fast-paced manufacturing settings.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
Significant industry experience in metals or materials manufacturing environments
Strong background in failure analysis, applied metallurgy, and manufacturing support
U.S. work authorization required (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident)
Development

Nice To Haves

Master's degree preferred
experience in steel or heavy metals manufacturing a plus
exposure to computational modeling
ability to mentor junior engineers

Responsibilities

Lead metallurgical failure analysis and root cause investigations
Lead metallurgical failure analysis and root cause investigations supporting manufacturing, quality, and customer claims
Provide technical metallurgical expertise to production teams, vendors, and cross-functional partners
Apply metallurgical analysis and modeling to support process optimization and new material applications
Serve as a technical mentor and SME for early-career engineers
