About The Position

As a Metal Plater / Line Operator, you will apply various plating processes to parts and components to improve durability, appearance, and corrosion resistance. This is a manufacturing/warehouse environment with exposure to heat, humidity, dust, noise, etc. The role involves standing, walking, stairs, lifting, raising hand over your head, etc.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED (technical training is a plus)
0-2 years of plating or manufacturing experience preferred (we will train candidates who demonstrate strong work ethic and reliability)
Ability to maintain regular, dependable attendance
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Authorized to work in the U.S.
Strong basic math skills (measurements, time, calculations)
Ability to read a ruler/tape measure and analog clock
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Basic understanding of chemical and equipment safety

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience preferred (certification a plus)
Interest in obtaining CEF/NASF certifications
Strong desire to meet production and performance expectations

Responsibilities

Perform plating operations using various techniques in accordance with specifications and quality standards
Set up, monitor, and control plating lines and chemical baths
Process parts for the correct duration per shop paperwork
Inspect plated parts for defects, thickness, and quality compliance
Verify parts are correctly racked prior to plating
Operate and assist with maintenance of plating tanks and rinsing systems
Follow all safety protocols and properly use PPE
Accurately complete all required paperwork and production records
Notify supervisors of process deviations or equipment issues
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting production goals
Perform other duties as assigned
